Mechanical InspectorJoin a fast-paced global company as a Mechanical Inspector! This full-time, direct-hire role is responsible for ensuring that our client’s quality assurance/quality control system is implemented efficiently at their Exeter, NH facility. Responsibilities of the Mechanical Inspector

• Perform detailed visual and mechanical inspections to determine conformance to specifications, and record inspection results
• Create inspection plans for normal to complex jobs and devise methods and gauging for measuring unusual parts
• Assist in training personnel in proper use of measuring equipment
• Develop and implement AQ/QC processes to continuously advance quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
• Help research and resolve problems
• Make recommendations to Engineering on the disposition of nonconforming parts
• Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications of the Mechanical Inspector

• 1-3 years of experience and/or training in mechanical quality inspection
• 3 years of related experience in a machine shop environment
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments including Micro-Hite, micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Thorough knowledge and familiarity with GD&T and metric standards and symbolism used in manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office, SAP
• Basic math skills
• Forklift and/or lift truck certification preferred
